General Objective: The objective of the project is the construction of a set of actions aimed at promoting the process of inclusion and development of the skills of students of the first grades of the first grade school and of the first grades of the second grade school. Each action will lead to the construction of a working methodology that will fall within the guidelines of the participating schools for the future and will constitute the basis of good reception and skills development practices for the entire school system.

Specific Objective: The specific objective is to intervene in all the “new classes” to build an inclusive and learning-oriented class group, thanks to the close collaboration with the students’ parents and the teaching staff.

Direct Beneficiaries: action 1 (breakfast at school) and action 2 (virtual twinning between first classes): around 700 pupils of the first classes of primary and secondary school; action 3 (strengthening the skills of students of Chinese origin): at least 80 Chinese students between 5 and 14 years of age; action 4 (at school with children): at least 30 parents of students attending first classes; action 5 (development and consolidation of extracurricular territorial education experiences in geographical areas not covered by similar services): at least 130 children between 5 and 14 years of age.

Indirect beneficiaries: action 1 (breakfast at school) and action 2 (virtual twinning between first classes): parents and college of teachers of the classes concerned; action 3 (strengthening the skills of students of Chinese origin): parents of the students involved, cultural mediators in the area; action 4 (at school with children): cultural mediators in the area and representatives of social services; action 5 (development and consolidation of extracurricular territorial educational experiences in geographical areas not covered by similar services): families of the participants, called to interact with the operators present in the territory.

Project Summary: The project was born from the need to build inclusive class-groups, in reference to the new first classes (both of primary and secondary school) able to develop cooperative and mutual aid learning methods. The project includes 5 specific actions: breakfast at school, virtual twinning between first classes, strengthening the skills of students of Chinese origin, training actions carried out at school for mothers of non-EU origin, development and consolidation of extra-school territorial educational experiences in geographical areas not covered by similar services.

EducAid is responsible for coordinating the work group entrusted with the implementation of Action 2, which provides for a virtual twinning with other first classes from other Italian regions and / or other European countries through the use of new technologies. Each partner school is called to carry out twinning with the aim of sharing children’s fears and expectations for the new school adventure. The action also provides specific training on the correct use of new technologies, aimed at both children and parents. It also becomes an opportunity for joint teacher-parent training on the tools in use at school (e.g. electronic register, FAD, etc.) and for updating the tools in use at school, as well as a vehicle for creating a group entity.
