The trainings’ program will be done by Italian experts selected by EducAid, with the continued support and collaboration of the University of Bologna (Department of Education) and will involve the Palestinian Education Ministry and the partner association (REC). During the 3 years there will be a total of 540 hours of training targeting more than 100 governmental teachers, 24 governmental school directors, and around 25 educators and teachers working for the local partner REC.
The trainings has the aim to empower the Gazan educative system through the capacity building of the actors working in the governmental schools, and the empowerment of the local partner, and to support an inclusive model based on the right of Education for all.
The three years programme will be divide in:
- 3 Trainings for Governmental teachers and REC staff focused on school inclusion methodologies and on the resolution of the most widely enfaced teaching problems. This trainings will touch directly the teachers and its purpose is to study in depth the following topics: “how to face the learning difficulties”, “how to organize spaces and lesson times”, “didactics and teaching methodology”, “active education”, “teaching problems”, “good practices”, “how to prevent school dropping-out”.
- 2 Trainings for REC Supervisors and Trainers (training of trainers), with the purpose to set up a trainers staff able to respond to the governmental teachers needs. This action is oriented to the direct empowerment of Remedial Education Center in order to let him to become a useful resource available for the Gazan school system. The trained staff will work also as trainers and supervisors proposing refresher practical courses to the governmental teachers.
- 2 Trainings for School directors on “organization, didactic management and teaching process for school inclusion” to assure the effectiveness of the work inclusion in the classrooms, providing school managers with the instruments able to identify proper internal policy supporting the inclusive approach.
- 2 Trainings for REC operators on educational inclusive activities, with the purpose is to empower their skills in order to improve their interventions in the schools (workshops with children, facilitating the general acceptance of disadvantaged children by the classrooms).
