Mission
EducAid provides aid cooperation in the educational and social field to prevent and reduce, through educational and social work, disadvantages and difficulties incurred by people with special needs and social and cultural difficulties. The efficacy of this action is linked to being able to open up dialogue.
We promote, through training and by supporting research and experimentation, social and pedagogical innovation, as well as the development of people’s skills and institutions that are responsible for educating, curing and helping people who are in situations of sufferance, unease, exploitation or difficulty, including those caused by wars and catastrophes.
We promote the idea and practice of “community education”, that underlines the need to build an educational system in which all resources of the environment meet in a collaborative perspective which identifies the dimension of education as a fundamental need while living together, participation and democratic development of community, and which avoids complete delegation of education to individuals.
We promote human rights paying particular attention to children, disabled people and minority groups. We also promote knowledge and international conventions application relating to such matters.
We promote and experiment with educational and training activities and methodologies aimed at supporting equal opportunities and valorising individual and group differences. We promote politics which recognize the importance of gender and give value to ethnic and cultural diversities.
